Who: James Potter and Lily Evans (and anyone else who feels inclined to join)
Where: Library, Gryffindor Common room, and who knows where else.
When: 25 February - Sunday Evening.
Rating: PG for now
Summary: James is back.

Trying to make the day go by as quickly as possibly, Lily had been tucked studiously away in the
Library for most the afternoon and well into the evening hours studying for the coming week’s Potions assignment. She'd only taken a break to grab a bite of dinner and to see if anyone had heard from James or Sirius, but, as she had expected, they hadn't. Though, when they did come back, she half expected them to make some sort of grand entrance to announce it to the masses. Smiling into her book at the thought, she flipped a page and scribbled a few notes down on a piece of parchment.

"Where are you two?" she mumbled to herself after another hour had passed and she looked down at her watch. Tossing her quill on the table and slouching back into her chair, she looked around the semi-vacant library. There were a few people in there, but no one she really knew personally; just their faces. Looking back at her books, she rolled her eyes and closed them up and stuffed them, along with the rest of her materials into her bag.

Deciding it'd be best to head back to Gryffindor to drop her stuff off before rounds in an hour, she headed that direction instead of her usual one after finishing in the library -- the Great Hall. Mostly because she had been doing her rounds with Remus most the week and the two were usually tucked away in the Library until it was time to check the school for any rule breaks, so they had just been taking their books along with them while they set about their task at hand.

"Toffee flavoured Jelly Beans," Lily said quietly to the Fat Lady and smiled as the woman opened her portrait for her. Climbing inside, she furrowed her brows at the throng of people collected in the center of the common room. Standing on her tiptoes to see over them, her eyes went wide and a smile found itself on her face. "James!" she cried, dropping her bag by the portrait and racing towards the crowd.

I had every intention of going to bed early and hoping I could get a bit of flying in tomorrow morning providing it's warm enough, but that seems virtually impossible. There are downsides to being in the room next to the Marauders. You're susceptible to hearing loud noises and lots of laughter at all hours of the night. Merlin only knows what they're up to over there, though I'd rather not find out or even try to guess. One learns over the years to stay as far away from them while they're planning or one becomes their new test subject.

I've gone off on a tangent it seems...

As I was saying originally, I was nearly asleep and there were some loud noises and mini explosions that came from next door or down the hall, or somewhere, and they're keeping me awake.

Aren't you all terribly glad that I found my journal?? It was lying under a pile of unfinished homework. How silly of me! This does make it quite easy to keep myself up to date on the goings-on of Hogwarts and abroad. Splendid invention, yes, I must admit. At first I was a little wary of others reading my every thought which must be why I buried the poor thing, but soon I got over it, and here I am!

James flies in beauty like the night
Of cloudless climes and Quidditch hoops,
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in his aspect and her his;
Thus mellowed to the tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One ray the more, one shade the less
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress
Or softly lightens o'er his face,
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek and o'er that brow
So soft, so calm yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow
But tell of days in goodness spent
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent.

All seems quiet, i plan to lay low until the Dark Lord sends me another invitation. I can not wait until school starts, i am stuck in Lestrange Manor hearing about weddings this and weddings that, its rather hilarious how mother keeps bringing up how much she wants a Grandbaby to Bellatrix.

The neighbours don't like me.  Probably because they caught me returning their cat which now has all its body parts in different places. I watched from my window as the little girl saw her cat, hers eyes were so wide and she went so pale, she didn't faint though. Next is that dog that bit me when i was seven, what to do to him.

Dad is wondering where his firewhiskey is, i told him i didn't know, though i think he still suspects me because of the smell of fire whiskey in my breath, me being the only other one that drinks  and my actions, which i think makes the neighbours think worse of me. I have to stay sober enough so i don't end up dancing to mothers old classical records again, i am lucky Rodolphus was not around or it could be used as blackmail.

Anyway the holidays are boring and i can not wait until i come of age. Beware Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws your going to wish it was still holidays when school starts back again.

Attention party goers!

It has come to my attention that I'm suppose to actually entertain you, as if the company of James and myself wasn't enough as it were. So I've decided to unlock the ancient party secret of all Gryffindordom...

Truth Or Dare.

Apparently there was an accident this morning just a few miles from where I live. The muggle news stations are reporting about a bridge has been turned upside down. The base of the bridge is hanging about in mid-air while the part that the road is on is underwater. My mum and I were driving on this bridge just last night and now it's gone. The news reporters are saying that at least thirty muggles were killed in this accident. However, they don't know what could have caused it. Channel two is saying that a barge was going up river when it hit the bridge and caused it to turn completely over. But that doesn't explain how it turned a complete one-hundred eighty degrees. Then channel four is saying that tsunami came through last night and caused it! A tsunami. In the middle of Britain. That's not even possible. I'm wondering if this whole this is another stunt by the wizard who has been responsible for all the attacks in the wizarding world. The Daily Prophet will surely report on this in the morning. They have to.

Who's seen the Daily Prophet today? This guy needs to get a one-way broom ride to Azkaban for what he said.

"I am the greatest wizard; even greater than Albus Dumbledore, and I will rid the world of those who are not pure; who do not follow the ways of the old. I will purge them from this Earth."

It's disgusting the way some people think. I hope he rots.

Has anyone seen the Daily Prophet? Central London. Muggle cinema. An attack at the same place on the same day I was suppose to go. Mum was right...

One of my friend's mum's is at St. Mungo's. She's not doing well and they're hoping they can help. Another witch was hurt too. The paper says twenty muggles were killed with the Killing Curse. I don't know what to say. I can't believe they had to go through that.

Did anyone read the Daily Prophet this morning? There was an attack in Somerset (not a half hour from me) and there were five wizards killed and apparently a few people are suffering from some Unforgivable. I thought things were quieting down after the last one near Hogsmeade. Has anyone heard anything else about this one?
